The Junior Data Analyst helps bridge the gap between the Data Team and Digital Intelligence Team. The Data analytics efforts focus on gathering far-reaching, digital-centric datasets and rendering them into highly-actionable insights for our clients. As a Junior Data Analyst, you will be responsible for maintaining the smooth flow of information between the two teams by providing data analysis support and by helping to troubleshoot issues with proprietary tools. The ideal candidate will have extensive Excel experience and be able to backtrack analysis previously carried out by multiple team members. This role is great for detail-oriented candidates who currently possess strong analytical capabilities and are looking to further grow their data analytics experience in the fields of machine learning, modeling, classification, NLP, statistics, and data visualization. You will work closely with senior members of both the data and digital intelligence teams and will have the opportunity to gain extensive work experience in both fields. Responsibilities Analysis: quickly produce on-demand Excel-based analysis for digital intelligence team members on an ad hoc basis, troubleshoot and backtrack potential errors in existing Excel-based analysis, use internal, proprietary data tools to help digital team members obtain the answers they need, work with data team members to further advance the capabilities of our data portfolio and related tools Communication: track and maintain the needs and requests of both the data and digital intelligence teams, be able to prioritize needs and help develop on-demand solutions, regularly discuss potential new solutions with data team members to further development of new analysis and insights, understand the business needs of digital intelligence team members and be able to translate them into data-centric solutions Data Management: keep logs of any data-related issues that arise, maintain accurate records of the data partnerships, including API documentation, pricing, and communications with vendors, help organize various codebases, help Data Architects onboard new data sets by reviewing new potential data sources and associated data structures, identify potential issues with new data sources as they relate to existing infrastructure


● Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other technical, engineering field

● 1-2 years experience analyzing medium to large datasets

● Extensive experience with Excel-based analysis

● Experience with VBA or other scripting language

● Experience with statistical programming languages such as R, Python or MATLAB

● Working knowledge of database frameworks (SQL, noSQL) and data structures Background in web and mobile digital analytics (ie, Google analytics, etc)

● Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, d3js)
